Silicon Mechanics announces the arrival of servers based on Intel® Xeon® processor E5-4600 product family

Full-featured four-socket servers for memory-intensive applications

Silicon Mechanics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of rackmount servers, storage, and high-performance computing clusters, announces that it now offers servers based on the Intel® Xeon® Processor E5-4600 product family. With up to 32 cores and up to 1TB DDR3 memory per server, the Intel Xeon Processor E5-4600 product family provides a highly flexible system with excellent performance per watt.

Silicon Mechanics has utilized the Intel Xeon Processor E5-4600 product family to create two affordable rackmount servers that combine expansive memory capabilities with the flexibility found in two-socket models. The Rackform iServ R420 and R445 both feature four Intel Xeon E5-4600 Series processors, 32 DIMMs, optional embedded 10GbE controller, and 80 PLUS-certified digital switching power supplies.
