Silicon Mechanics Appoints David M. Manning as Director of Marketing and Business Development

Industry leader to focus on expanding business solutions with new products and Silicon Mechanics, Inc., a leading manufacturer of rackmount servers, storage, and high-performance computing clusters, announces that David M. Manning has been appointed Director of Marketing and Business Development, and will lead Silicon Mechanics' business development initiatives, focusing on strategic growth and expansion.

Building on the "Expert included" motto and guiding principle that defines Silicon Mechanics and differentiates it in the marketplace, Mr. Manning will support sales by using his business development expertise to deepen working relationships with valued partners. He will lead the company's efforts to add new services, with an emphasis on building programs that promote close collaboration between Silicon Mechanics experts and customers.

Mr. Manning joins Silicon Mechanics from the Uptime Institute, a data center research, education, and consulting organization, where he served as senior director for marketing and business development. He previously managed marketing and business development for a large consulting engineering firm, and has also had more than 20 years directing marketing programs for computer hardware and software companies.
