Users can expect to realize increased performance—up to 9x in some cases—due to improvements in memory architecture, QuickPath Interconnect technology, and the addition of features including Turbo Boost and Hyper-Threading. Greatly reduced idle power requirements, more idle states, power gates, automated power management features, and DDR3 memory can result in operating cost as much as 90% lower.
