SILICON MECHANICS ANNOUNCES EXPANDED ENTERPRISE ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT TEAM
BOTHELL, WA – October 8, 2007 –

added two new Senior Enterprise Account Managers. Joining the company
are John McManus of Chula Vista, California, and Bill Okerman of
Needham, Massachusetts.
John McManus, Senior Enterprise Account Manager. Mr. McManus will offer sales support with specific expertise in systems and solutions for the oil and gas industry, as well as medical imaging, entertainment and government. He has extensive experience in sales consultation, and most recently managed Fortune 1000 accounts for Open Source Systems of Sunnyvale, CA. Other experience includes Account Management and Business Development for Western Scientific and Verari Systems Inc., where he received recognition for exceeding sales goals and for outstanding sales growth.
Bill Okerman, Senior Enterprise Account Manager. Mr. Okerman has over 25 years of sales and sales management experience in the information technology industry. Okerman is a graduate of Harvard University, and as the top salesperson for VA Linux Systems, he generated over $50 million in revenue in just over 2 years. His previous professional sales experience includes positions with Netcom, Pixar, and Tektronix. Okerman will be based in Needham, Massachusetts, and will be working with Silicon Mechanics' customers along the eastern seaboard, with a focus on advanced academic, research institution, and corporate computing solutions.
