BOTHELL, WA – September 28, 2007 – Silicon Mechanics, Inc., a leading provider of rack-optimized servers and high-performance computing solutions, today announced an expansion and restructuring of its management team. The changes were necessitated by substantial growth since it's inception in 2001, and particularly by the increased sales the company has enjoyed over the past twelve months. New appointments include:

Robert Heyer, President. Mr. Heyer joined Silicon Mechanics as a Partner in 2004, and has served as Chief Operating Officer overseeing finance, administration and operations for the company. With over 15 years in various management roles, Heyer has extensive experience leading entrepreneurial organizations through the startup and expansion phases of their development.

David Bryan, Executive Vice President. Mr. Bryan will be assuming leadership of the Product Engineering and Product Development functions for Silicon Mechanics. It is anticipated that Bryan's extensive engineering and technical abilities will solidify and expand the company's reputation as an emerging leader in the server industry, particularly as they enter the high-performance computing clusters market. Mr. Bryan's contributions to Silicon Mechanics as a Founding Partner and during his tenure as the company's President were invaluable. His leadership was pivotal in transforming Silicon Mechanics from a fledgling server manufacturer into a leading provider of rack-optimized servers and high-performance computing solutions.

Art Mann, Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Mr. Mann joined Silicon Mechanics as Vice President, Sales in 2004. His background includes more than 20 years in strategic sales and business development, specializing in the development of computing solutions in the research and academic community and dot-coms. His background also includes the design and delivery of Customer Service and Technical Support for Fortune 500 corporations including Apple, Gateway, HP/Compaq, Disney, Alaska Airlines, Microsoft, Intel, and Target.

Ivan Silva, Director of Production. Mr. Silva joins Silicon Mechanics as Director of Production. His background includes work at the supervisory level for Ekos Corporation and ADP – Pacific Northwest Region.
