Announces new Rackform iServ R421 Quad-Core 4-Way Xeon Server
BOTHELL, WA — September 5, 2007 — Silicon Mechanics, Inc., a leading provider of rack-optimized servers and high-performance computing solutions, today announced the launch of the Rackform iServ R421, a high-density server based on the Quad-Core Intel® Xeon® processor 7300 series (known as Tigerton).
The iServ R421 is a rack-optimized server designed for applications which demand enterprise-grade parallel processing capability. It features four quad-core Xeon processors in a 2U form factor, 24 fully buffered DIMMs, and Intel Virtualization Technology.
