The Green IT Alliance, (GITA) is a non-profit,
whose mission is to become a National Center of Excellence devoted to accelerating the integration
of green, energy efficient IT technologies into sustainable building architecture. GITA is unique
in that it focuses on the integration of technologies in both the Green Building and Green IT
sectors. GITA is focused on implementing real-world pilot projects and test laboratory research.
With its public/private partnership, GITA integrates the resources and talents of private industry,
government, and university researchers in interdisciplinary, interagency projects that
will provide the basis for the next generation of thought leadership in this field.
MythTV is a GPL Open Source application for Linux which allows a home computer to function as a digital video recorder and a digital home entertainment system. Silicon Mechanics donated a Rackform nServ A210 to the MythTV project.
The Seattle Area System Administrators Guild (SASAG) is a local group for systems administrators in the Seattle and Pacific Northwest areas (North Western Washington). SASAG offers training, tools, information, and services to local system administrators and other interested persons.
